Provides on-going education programs and develops important new initiatives that foster intelligent waterfront planning, safety, and access for the New York-New Jersey Harbor Estuary. The Working Waterfront Association has been deeply involved in many aspects of the planning process for the port region. From legislative text to infrastructure, design, and waterways safety issues, we have shaped the planning process over the last three years with our unique perspective.

Our free education and arts-on-the-waterfront programs, combined with our water festivals have raised the level of awareness for public access to the waters. This work has all been accomplished by volunteer efforts, without any outside funding.
