A Mixed-Income Volunteer-Run Local Organization. Weekly Organic Produce Deliveries, Optional Fruit & Flower Shares. New York City

Come and share the harvest:
Join the Park Slope Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) and receive fresh organic vegetables every week from June 17 to November 18. (Fruit, flowers, meat, and eggs are also available.) The Park Slope CSA was founded in 2000 with the help of Just Food, a non-profit organization that links city residents with regional farmers.

Here is how the Park Slope CSA works: Sign up for the 2004 season of the Park Slope CSA and become a shareholder in the organic bounty of Cooke Hollow Farm in Easton, New York. Beginning June 17, you will enjoy 23 weeks of quality seasonal produce: an abundance of tasty greens, juicy tomatoes, fabulous green beans, scrumptious carrots, delicious fruit, gorgeous flowers, and so much more.

From June to November, pick up your fresh produce each Thursday at the Garden of Union, a community garden on Union Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues. Select from the many bins of freshly picked vegetables delivered straight from the farm. Share cost is under $16.00 a week; low-income memberships are available and food stamps are accepted.
To become a member, or for more information, call 718.707.1023 or check out our website: www.ParkSlopeCSA.org

Just Food began in autumn 1994 as the all-volunteer effort of a number of New York City and Northeast food-system leaders to promote a holistic approach to food, hunger and agriculture issues.
Just Food envisions a strong regional food system -- incorporating a diversity of rural farms and a robust urban farming component -- that preserves ecosystems, reduces pollution, promotes social justice, provides education about the environment, and invigorates rural and urban economies.
