Where does your elected representative stand on Ratner's plan for the Atlantic Rail Yards?
Now that the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed, it is time for the politicians who are ducking their constituents' concerns to state whether or not they are for or against this project and to clarify what actions they are prepared to take. Ratner's Atlantic Yards Proposal: The footprint is 1.3 times that of the World Trade Center site and includes: 17 tower buildings ranging from 20 to 58 stories high; 2.4 million squ. ft. of office and retail space; A 19,000-seat arena (800,000 sq. ft.); 4.5 million sq. ft. of housing (4,500 units).
