Subway People: Alone in the Crowd
New
York Transit Museum
New
York Transit Museu, Schermerhorn St & Boerum Pl, Brooklyn
10.00am - 4.00pm (Tues-Fri), 12.00pm - 5.00pm (weekends)
Subway People takes a human-interest look at New Yorkers. Capturing
moments in one of the City's most iconic and revealing environments,
it plumbs the depths of New York's heart and soul. The focus of
Subway People is on ordinary straphangers. David Perlmutter's
portraits evoke something of the essence of each individual shown
within a sea of riders. The work creates a visual metaphor for
the city as a whole, celebrating the commonality of unique personalities
in a wonderfully diverse city. Free - Non members welcome.
